WE GOT A NEW TV!!!!
Yes, I know. I am excited too! I would invite you all over to watch the BIG GAME with me on it, but you will be too busy watching your new TV and other popular electronics from Best Buy! Right? Since you all could not come over, I invited some dear dear friends and their kids to come enjoy an afternoon of Football with some delicious treats and my NEW TV!
Now, you may or may not know me, but I could not have a football gathering without some delicious snacks. It is just not OK with me. Nothing fancy, but some things that I love and want to share with my friends! Some are slice and serve and some are a little more detailed, but all are easy and perfect for the casual gathering where I would talk my friends ears off about how awesome the shopping experience was at Best Buy as well as the installation expertise from the Geek Squad!
But first, before I got started filling the table and my Homemade Football Tablecloth with goodies, I had to put on my game face!
My absolute, go to, must have at every party dish is my cheese dip. I make it in the crock pot, it takes no time at all and it is always a HUGE hit! You probably make it too as it is not that rare, but I thought I would show you anyway!
- 1 box Velveeta Cheese
- 1 Pound Italian Seasoned Turkey Ground Meat
- 1 Can Rotel tomatoes
- Brown the turkey. Cube the Velveeta. Add the browned meat, the tomatoes and the cheese. Turn on low and let melt. It takes about an hour. Keep on warm and let people serve from the crock pot.
It is so simple and you can change up your meats and even add extra tomatoes, onions, or sliced sausage for some change ups too!
I always love to have a tray of finger snacks ready for guests. One of my favorite ways to dress up a party is a meat and cheese tray. It is so simple yet something I almost always forget about in the making of everything else for a party. This takes a matter of minutes and only needs some summer sausage, your favorite cheese and a variety of colorful and high quality olives! You can add crackers to the mix as well if you want!
Slice the sausage and the cheese and line the tray you will serve them on. Then fill a bowl in the middle with some really delicious olives! Have a container of toothpicks next to them so people can pick and choose!
Another super easy way to dress up a party is to find already made foods that are in your grocers. I found football shaped pretzels that I HAD to have on the table! Everyone likes to snack on a salty treat and you may even see some people dip them in the cheese dip! Simple, fast treats are always a hit at a party!
The final little thing I did was mainly for the kids. I made some cupcakes, iced them with brown icing and then used my bag and small piping tool to make whipped cream stripes for footballs. It was so easy and they were such a huge hit. I will be making more my big game gathering. They take no time and they are memorable.
Creating an amazing party for football or any other sporting event is so easy. All it takes is some simple recipes, some great ideas and a passion for entertaining your friends!

OH my stars, you are way too funny with your football paint and whistle! Are you SO super excited about the big game tomorrow? I’m insane excited because my two favorite football teams are playing one another. Know what’s crazy about that? My two favorite NCAA teams played one another in the BCS National Championship game this year too. I went to both Auburn & FSU. I guess I’m a winner either way – just like you are with that awesome TV! :)
