#ThankList ad

Saying Thank You seems like such a small thing. But in reality, those two words can make the day of anyone who hears them. Whether getting an unexpected card in the mail or a message online, everyone smiles when they know they are appreciated. Every month or so I do a Grateful Giveaway on my Facebook page for the sole purpose of thanking those who support me. While not everyone can win, I know that my readers understand that the purpose is to thank them for everything they do to help ADayinMotherhood.com become a success. More than my readers, though, my friends and family, the math tutor, yard guys and handyman all deserve a heartfelt Thank You from me. Along with American Greetings, and the feeling of gratitude I have towards everyone in my life, online and off, I am creating a #ThankList on social media to express my gratitude.    As a mom I teach my children the importance of words. They are the tool that we all have to express feelings, thoughts and actions. The power of words is evident everywhere. I teach my kids that no matter what a person does, looks like or thinks, you always use the power of words to spread acceptance and kindness. A simple Thank You can dissuade bad feelings and insecurities in an instant!   Imagine sitting at your computer, checking emails and catching up with friends. An unexpected message comes in from someone who appreciated you. It is beautiful and heartfelt and is a simple Thank You. Honestly, it would make my day! All you have to do to make someone’s day is to send a message with the hashtag #ThankList on social media! It is THAT simple! American Greetings can help you with your #ThankList too. There are two ways, with a video that is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen or a simple message that you can post on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.  Check out this video created for Hatch Kids, where kids express their thanks to the adults in their lives.

By simply posting a simple message on social media using the hashtag #ThankList in your message, we can all be a part of the movement to spread kindness online to everyone.

Imagine what could happen if we all took 1 minute to thank someone special is our lives. A teacher, a neighbor, a friend, a parent. Or someone you don’t ‘know’ but see online and appreciate. Two little words can transform someone’s day into an amazing one!
