This is it! The end of the football season! The teams are set, the last game is scheduled and I want to have a big celebration. But I do not want to spend hours and hours in the kitchen creating tons of food and snacks people won’t eat! So, I went to Walmart, got myself some awesome convenience foods that I know everyone will love and set up these awesome Easy Football Party Ideas for everyone to see! The best part is that I was done in no time and that my guests will eat every last bite!
Now, we all know that it really does not matter in the end who is playing on the screen. The time spent together and the food are major parts of any football party! So I needed something as a starter, a half time meal and dessert! Plus I wanted to get some game on with some party games – like a Muddy Touchdown Sundae for the guest whose team scored!
- 1 Cup of Dryer's Vanilla Ice Cream
- 2 packages of Muddy Buddy Cereal
- Sprinkles
- Caramel Sauce
- Homemade Whipped Cream
- Cherry
- Melt the ice cream just a little in the microwave. Add the Muddy Buddy mix and your sprinkles to the ice cream. Refreeze the ice cream for a little while. Dish it into a bowl, add caramel sauce, whipped cream, some extra muddy buddy and sprinkles for decoration and top it with a cherry!
First and foremost you have to set the stage. So I made a Football tablecloth out of green felt and fabric tape that really sets the theme. I bought an iron on football and letters to mark the end zones and then added some stars for the team colors. Since my team barely showed up to play this season, I just chose red and blue. I bought the green felt and iron on stickers in the Walmart craft section and set about making it for my table. You can see how to make your own in my How to Make an Easy Football Tablecloth post!
Now that the table is ready, it is time for FOOD! Super easy snacks include Hot Pockets Pepperoni Pizza with Garlic Buttery Seasoned Crust and Hot Pockets Ham & Cheese with Croissant Crust. YUM! I just baked a few at a time and cut them up in bite size slices. I placed them on the edge of the tablecloth to be sort of “sideline players”. Everyone loves a good snack that tastes delicious at a party! Adding to the ‘snacking’ foods, I baked and cut up a Supreme Digiorno Rising Crust Pizza. Little squares are easy to pick up and snack on as we watch the gridiron battle on screen. Plus, I love the taste of Digiorno and the massive amounts of topping on each pizza!
Halftime lunch is a crowd favorite no matter how you slice it! A Stouffers Party Size Lasagna with Meat & Sauce is so easy to pop in the oven as you set up for the party and chatter during the first half with your guests! Pull it out piping hot just in time for the halftime hungers and serve it up! The cheesy goodness hits the spot every time as the tomatoes and meat sauce satisfy the need for real food!
The desserts are almost as important as the food on Game Day! The Muddy Touchdown Sundae’s are really really easy. Just pic up some Dryer’s Vanilla Ice Cream – some stores carry the EDY’S or DREYER’S Limited Edition Touchdown Sundae Ice Cream but my store was out :( – some sprinkles that are either your team colors or just a mix like I did, some caramel topping, some of my homemade whipped cream and a cherry! Plus, I added in Muddy Buddy cereal mix to give the ice cream even more crunch! Hand them out to the guests who correctly predicted the next team to score a touchdown! How fun is this?
Not to be outdone, another fantastic treat you can hand out is NESTLE Crunch Dipped DRUMSTICK Cones! I mean, come on. Do I even need to explain why this one is so awesome on game day? If kids are at your party, this treat will be especially popular! The candy coated cone hides a creamy, syrupy center and the entire cone dissappears in a frenzy when they are opened! These should be an easy football party staple that is always available to grab and celebrate with!
With the big game right around the corner, it is a perfect time to throw a party everyone will love. Be sure you enjoy it too with these easy to make, popular to serve snacks, foods and treats for your guests!
Your tablecloth is PERFECT for the Big Game! I like your easy food choices and your Awesome tablecloth. The sundaes are a sweet idea too! YUM. #client
