I live, work, play and raise my kids in my home. I don’t leave for a job as I work here and the daily smells don’t affect me. But I have two dogs, three kids and live on an acre of land. So surely there are aromas and smells I simply don’t smell anymore. I am sure I am #Noseblind to more than one!  Lucky for me, I have honest friends! So I invited some over to take the Noseblind test like they do on TV. Febreze being the star!

My neighbors are brutally honest people. It is why I like them. So I put some Butter Lover’s popcorn in the microwave, turned on Netflix to see The Other Woman and waited for them to come over.

When they did, I asked them to honestly take a survey as to how my house smelled. They did and pointed out that with two dogs, they smelled dog hair/ dog breath. I could understand that. Then one pointed out that the only interior room in this house, the kids bathroom, was musty!

I was not offended but I knew that my nose was used to these smells!

I popped the popcorn and as it popped, the house was filled with the aroma. That is how scents work. Strong ones overtake smaller ones. At least for a little while.
