Hi. Our names are Bud and Piper. We are the extremely spoiled and loved dogs to Lori and our favorite people on the Earth, Katie, Sarah and Megan. We have a really good life. We have a big yard to run around in and we have each other. Our mommy is attentive and loving and she has a really big lap where we both can rest our tired heads whenever we want. The biggest problem we have in our lives is that we can’t always get out of our fence to go play with our friends next door. We love to meet and greet and smell our buddies who live with our neighbors. I mean, between the three houses, there are 9 dogs. That’s a lot of friends that we need to catch up with. Sometimes we all get out and play and it is a lot of fun. But then we get tired and just want to come home and nap. Or have a treat. Our favorite treats, of course, are Milkbone, Pup-peroni and the delicious Milo’s Kitchen treats! This Valentine’s Day we want to give our favorite dogs next door fun Valentine’s Day Treats to show our love and thanks for helping us bark at the UPS man and the possum on the fence at 2 am. Our mom does not like it so much, but it is great fun for us!

We told our mommy what we wanted to do and she promptly went to Walmart to shop. We told you we are spoiled! We told her that we wanted the biggest bags and boxes of our favorites so that we could make a treat jar and stuff it full. Now, you know the treat jar, right? That magical canister on the counter that houses crunchy and chewy treats that make us wag our tails so hard our whole butt moves? We have learned that the harder we wag and the more excited we look, the bigger the smile our mommy gives us! Plus, sometimes if we can get her to laugh out loud at our undeniable cuteness, we can get more than one treat. Maybe a Gravy Milkbone AND a Pup-Peroni Mix Stick. If we sit when she has the treats in her hand – which we collectively agree is the HARDEST thing EVER when we want our treats!! – we might even get a Milo’s Kitchen Chicken Jerky Strip, too!

OK, hold on a moment, mommy is giving us a treat for writing to you guys. She’s such a nice lady.

WOW! We just got a Chicken Jerky Strip and it is sooooo good. Like we are salivating as we chew.

Oh this is so fun! We have to share this with our buddies next door!

See how we did it on Instagram!

We had to hire our mommy to help us create fun Valentine’s Treat containers because, as awesome and smart as we are, we have no talent for creating things. Must be the fact that we have no thumbs. I don’t know. But we told out mommy what to do based on what we would love to get as Valentine’s Day Treats.

She used some puffy paint she got in Walmart’s fabric department to draw puffy red and pink hearts all over the stainless steel, sealed container. After that dried, she tied some cute ribbon around them to show they were a gift. Once they were all done, she filled the containers with tons and tons of doggy treats. All the way to the top! We jumped around in excitement and wagged our tails. She thinks it’s because we want the treats but really, we can’t wait to share with our friends!

But we still got some more treats anyway.

Now, because our mommy is so cool and rescued us both from bad situations, we would do almost anything for her. But when she made me put on a pink sweater and my brother, Bud, put on a purple one, we wondered how hard it would be to run away from home. I mean, come on, these things are ICK! So we wiggled and fussed but once we saw the leashes, we forgot all about them! We got to go with her to deliver our treat cans! Our neighbor friends were SO excited!!

Now that we are home again and so warm and cozy, curled up on the couch, bellies full of wonderful treats, we are happy to be here. Our mommy knows what we love and to thank her, we will love and protect her and those little kids who put hats on us and pull our ears, every day of our lives.
