My Young Children and Their Walmart Family Mobile Unlimited Plan Cell Phone: One Month Later

A month ago, I told you the primary reason that I wanted my kids to have a cell phone. Despite their very young ages – 7, 6 and 4 – I felt that they needed a direct line to their dad and a line to me when they were at his house. Plus, when they go to their dads for a weekend, they can choose to call me or not. Most of the time, not – admittedly – but at least for those two days, I know they can reach me if they want to, any time day or night! In fact, one evening at about 10 pm, my oldest did call. Scared of the dark, she just wanted to hear mommy’s voice.

They put it where it needs to be, they make sure that it is safe and the covet it. It has been dropped – I won’t lie – but it has been picked up and has not suffered at all for it.
