They say that it takes 21 to 48 days of repetition for a human to learn a new habit. Well, I have made the commitment. The commitment to eat breakfast – at a decent time – not 2 pm – every day for the next 3 – 6 weeks. Now, many of you may find this to be a silly goal. But the truth is, breakfast IS the most important meal of the day and, though I feed my children fun, healthy meals every morning, I fail to ever eat them myself.
So, unless coffee is suddenly a food group, I need to get to it.
Lucky for my, my Walmart store has the perfect delicious, protein packed, convenient breakfast to get me going every day! Tyson Bread Bowls.
Anyone who has ever read this blog knows that Tyson makes some of my favorite products on the market. They are always good, always fun and always easy. My freezer is packed with their stuff. Seriously.
Now, I have had the Tyson Bread Bowls before. They make a great variety with several ingredients that are perfect for that fast meal that we all just need sometimes. But the Breakfast Bowls have me excited. I know that popping them in the microwave and adding some fruit or orange juice will make them a breakfast I can stick with.
So as I took my kids from Art Camp to Walmart to find the Sausage, Egg and Cheese Tyson Breakfast Bowls and the Bacon, Egg and Cheese Bowls, I set the reminder on my iPhone to let me know to have breakfast every morning.
Really, I am that easily dis-tractable and so need the reminder!
As I walked down the aisle, kids in rare form entertaining me along the way, I was reminded of how many awesome products Tyson makes. Fun shaped Chicken Nuggets, awesome Chicken Fries that you can use to make fun lunches and my personal favorite, the Tyson Honey BBQ Boneless Chicken Wings. Yum. Yum. YUM!

I spotted the Breakfast Bowls in the section with the breakfast sandwiches and wished they had had them higher on the shelf. Once people discover these, they are going to want them easy to find, front and center!
I grabbed both varieties because if I am going to do this breakfast thing right, I need to stock up!
The next morning I woke at 5am to stay with my summer time schedule. I made my coffee, grabbed my vitamin pack, heard my phone remind me to make breakfast and popped two of the Sausage, Egg and Cheese Tyson Breakfast Bowls in the microwave. While they cooked I washed some grapes and sliced some strawberries.
And then I looked at the box that the Breakfast Bowls were in to get an idea of what I was about to put in my body. It made me so happy to see that there are only 3 grams of sugar and up to 11 grams pf protein in each bowl! There is fat and protein that I can burn through the day. But with my goal to increase my protein intake and reduce my sugars, the bowls fit in to my new “getting healthier” plan!
To be honest, though, once I bit into the bowl, I could have cared less… well… sort of… what was in them. These are SO DELICIOUS!! The bread is soft and warm and the filling is tasteful, delicious and satisfying. Exactly what I need to make sure I am getting the breakfast I need every single day!
