A month or so ago I was a proud pre-tester for the new Murphy USA iPhone app!  And it is awesome!

I love Murphy USA and have written many times about the fact that my Murphy USA always seems to have the cheapest gas in my area, is also stocked with snacks and other things I might need on the road and how nice it is that they are everywhere!  And now, the New app makes my life a little easier too.

Brightly colored and easy to find in my many apps on my phone, the Murphy USA app offers easy to find and use options.  You can find your nearest stations and mark them easily – with a simple click of a star – as your favorite.  Use this feature if you travel a lot to find your stations without searching and driving for the nearest one.

You can enroll for offers like coupons and freebies – yes, Murphy USA offers freebies, I have gotten several!  There is even an option to Pay by Text where you can enter the amount you want to pay and get texted a code!

But one of my favorite features is the Track My Mileage option.  You can enter your current miles and then enter how much gas you put in the car and what you paid per gallon and the app will calculate your average.  The app stores every log in and averages your usage over time.  This is great for budgeting and tracking what you are really getting with your money for gas!
