Need something fun and cool to do this Labor Day Weekend in Houston?

Head over to the Houston Zoo from 9am to 3pm on Saturday, September 3, 2011, and enjoy a fun filled day!

9:30 a.m. (Werler Stage near Natural Encounters)

Reverend Butter – Ice Sculptor:  See a one-of-a-kind ice sculpture created right before your eyes! Reverend Butter’s End of Summer Bash creation will be an elephant created from 600 pounds of ice.  Bring your camera!  You’ll want to capture Butter’s unique style (Hint: It involves a chain saw) and get a picture of your friends and family with the finished creation before it melts!

10:30 a.m. – Noon (Reflection Pool)

Leah White and the Magic Mirrors: Winners of the 2009 Nickelodeon Parent’s Choice Award, Leah White and the Magic mirrors present fun and entertaining original music for all ages.

9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Front plaza near McGovern Mammal Marina)

End of Summer Scavenger Hunt:  Stop at the TXU Energy tent, pick up your fan (trust us, these life savers will get you through the day!), and begin your scavenger hunt around the CHILL ZONES at the Zoo! Finish your voyage through our 13 air-conditioned locations and cool off with a FREE sno cone!
