Sometimes my job is really cool! Like when I get an advanced copy of a blockbuster movie and I get to share it with friends! SpiderMan is coming to Walmart on November 9, 2012! Along with the bonus DVD’s, clarity of Blu-ray and more, the release includes an awesome Augmented Reality App that lets you see live scenes on Marketside Pizza’s, the DVD boxes and more! Plus, you or your child can star in their own SpiderMan comic and you can unlock even more fun activities too!
This is so cool, you guys! Just go to the Apple Store or your Android Market and search for “Web Slinger”. You can also download it straight from the movie box when you buy it. It is really easy to use and so fun! Once you download it, point your device at the SpiderMan displays in the stores and see fun, live action scenes that you can interact with by selecting the ‘hot spots’. It really is fun and great for kids too! I can’t wait for the displays in my store so I can check them all out!

How cool is that?
Since I am so excited about this release, I decided to include some friends who have UBER SpiderMan fans in a pre-release movie night! One of their sons was even SpiderMan for Halloween so it only made sense that they should be included in this fun movie night!
The girls and I shopped at Walmart, got some great SpiderMan toys for ‘Thank You’ gifts and prepared to take the party to their house! Check out my shop and party below in my Google + Story:
I loved using the Augmented Reality App in Walmart on the Pizza boxes! My kids clamored around to see the action scenes and wanted me to show it over and over again. And when we got to the toys for the boys, Sarah was front and center telling me what she thought they would like!
I purchased a very kids popular Marketside Cheese Pizza and a mommy favorite Meat Lovers and then added some cupcake mix, red icing and spider rings to my cart. After I got plates and napkins with SpiderMan’s face, I was good to go!
I hurried home and made the super fun and simple cupcakes and then loaded everything up to take to our friends house!
We baked the pizza and were all starving with the aroma permeating the air and then put on the movie to see if the kids would stop playing and be enthralled with it! It took a few scenes but, eventually, they all settled in to watch this dramatically clear movie take shape! Personally, as a HUGE fan of Emma Stone, I was excited to see the movie. And the SpiderMan fans were very happy!
