While I knew Pomegranates were good on their own and that they could be added to recipes, we all know that getting the seeds out can be challenging and messy. So when I found out that there are NEW POM POMS Fresh Arils in stores now, I had to try them on my favorite recipes and share one with you!
I learned that the best method for getting the flavorful seeds out of a Pomegranate was to hit the back with a wooden spoon. While totally fun and a great stress reliever, it can be a messy endeavor.
POM POMS do all the hard work for you in a convenient package of ready-to-eat pomegranate arils straight from our California orchards. POM POMS are offered in two sizes including a 100 calorie 4.3oz single serving for easy snacking and an 8oz size for cooking that the whole family can enjoy.
I got both sizes and the mess is gone with the arils in a container, already taken from the fruit!
On my busiest nights these really come in handy. Looking for a unique way to have something with some leftover Rotisserie Chicken I had, I reached out to friends and got this idea back!
- Pizza bread or flat Artesian bread.
- Olive OIl to brush
- Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
- Shredded Rotisserie Chicken
- Arugula and Spinach mix
- POM POMS Fresh Arils
- Set the oven to 350 degrees. Brush the pizza dough with the olive oil and set aside. Shred the chicken and the cheese. On the bread, add the cheese, top with the chicken and the Arugula mix. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the crust is brown around the edge. Pull out and top with POM POMS Fresh Arils for a burst of flavor!
This pizza turned out so well and I love the versatility. The burst of cool POM POMs on the warm pizza makes your mouth happy from the first bite to the last!
