For years I have fought the battle of getting a high protein breakfast in less than a few minutes. I need the protein for my workout regimen, CrossFit 5-6 times a week, and to keep up with my three kids and their schedules. So many times I am on my way out the door and realize that in my morning hustle I have forgotten to feed myself. So I grab a banana or a protein bar and make do. But it is not the breakfast I am supposed to be having. It is not a breakfast that sticks with me like it should. I am always on the hunt for quick, convenient and delicious options that meet my nutritional needs without taking all of my valuable morning time! So when I saw NEW Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles in the bacon aisle at Walmart, I read the labels. Eggs, meats and cheeses that blend together in under 2 minutes and product 22+ grams of protein in each cup! I picked up all three to protein up breakfast with ease!
Sue enough, even with the kids at their dad’s house, I was thisclose to walking out without breakfast again. At the last minute I opened the fridge and grabbed a Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles Sausage cup. I opened it up revealing 2 eggs in one packet and the sausage pieces and cheddar cheese in the other. I loved that is was packaged this way. I originally thought it would all be premixed leading to a mushy mess once heated up. Separating the ingredients makes the meal fluffy and flavorful.
I opened up the two eggs and poured then in the container the meal comes in. I heated them up for 45 seconds.
I then added the sausage and cheese mixture from their packet and heated the entire thing for another 30 seconds.
Out came a delicious breakfast that I would have made for myself any day of the week if I had the time!
Fluffy, delicious eggs flavored with the perfect amount of Jimmy Dean Sausage and real cheddar cheese.
I am really glad that I picked up the Meat Lovers and Bacon varieties to Protein Up my Breakfast. Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles are fast, easy, delicious and are real food. They pack in the protein I need but lack the carbs I don’t!
Now that I have the right breakfast to protein up, I can relax knowing that even with my busy life, I can get a great breakfast that keeps me going with my lifestyle!
