Last Saturday I gathered my kids and headed to Studio Movie Grill in Houston to see Pound Puppies: Mission Adoption. It was super cute and the girls and I absolutely loved it!
While enjoying this fun and colorful movie about finding ‘the right human’ for every puppy, we enjoyed a pizza and popcorn and got out for 4 under $30, including the tickets! Not too bad for a family afternoon activity!
This Pound Puppies movie will be out May 2013 on DVD but you can catch it at some Studio Movie Grill locations on Saturday’s and Sunday’s at 11am through April 2013 for only $2 a person. The locations are:

And if you can get there, this Saturday, April 20, 2013 is a super special screening! Select SMG locations have partnered with local dog rescues and will be hosting an adoption day in front of the theater and collecting donations of puppy chow and other pet supplies. While supplies last, SMG is offering movie passes and copies of the DVD for Pound Puppies: Mission Adoption provided by Shout Factory! as incentives for patrons who adopt a pet or donate at the event. Each participating location has a selected animal rescue with volunteers who will come on site in front of the theaters to show puppies in need of homes and collect donations of pet food and supplies.
If my kids were not at their dad’s this weekend, we would be going again and donating food… and maybe even adopting a pup who needs a good home!
I LOVE this collaboration and I encourage everyone to take advantage of this special price and donate as well. You don’t have to adopt – just donate.
