There are things a woman should never talk about. Things that are private and personal and just between her and the privacy in her mind. As you know, I am hard pressed to be that kind of woman and I will talk about anything. Why not? After all… most of the things we keep to ourselves are normal, biological, bodily functions that we all deal with and all know too well. Why can’t we talk about it? Especially if we can make some things easier by talking about it and sharing how we deal with it. Like our periods and the absolute irritation in having to endure it every month for at least 40 years out of our lives. Extenuating circumstances understood; our periods are a pain in our busy day like almost nothing else is. Good thing Kotex is around to help us make it an easier task.
Aside from the fact that we are all bebopping along, taking care of our kids, our homes, our bills, PTA meetings, work demands, meal creation, stain removal, toilet scrubbing… well, you know.. YOU live it too; we get smacked once a month (sometimes more or less than that for us peri-menopaus ladies) with an event that exhausts us, causes aches and pains and schedule changes none of us want.
One of the BIGGEST pains in dealing with this ‘time of the month’, is not having products that really work. Products that do what they say. Products that you can have in reach to make life a little easier. I have used Kotex for years in dealing with the irritation of my period. We may not like to talk about it but we all have to deal with it in some way or another. With three daughters, I will be dealing with it for years to come. Long past my cycle is over. So I am glad I can pass on the wisdom of dealing with periods even in the midst of hectic lives by using products that really work!
Let’s talk more! What is the biggest complaint you have about period products?
I don’t have my period anymore since I had a hysterectomy done last summer. But before that I suffered for years until I found the Diva Cup. I used to have rashes, itchiness, burns from the sanitary napkins and tampons were never effective. I made the switch to the Diva Cup and reusable sanitary napkins if necessary and live happily for the last 5 years, except for the pain and many other symptoms that ended up when I had my hysterectomy.
I have never heard of that. I’ll have to look it up!
