I have a dear friends whom I have had since college. We don’t see each other often but she is one of those friends that the conversation picks up right where it left off. Sometimes, when we get together, we stay the night at one another’s houses so the conversation can keep going. At her house, in the morning, I am treated to coffee that is just amazing. Delicious, warm and comforting, just like it should be. It was perfect coffee at home. I watched her make it once in her espresso machine and put it on my bucket list to get one one day as well. I can check it off now as the De’Longhi Dedica Espresso Machine and the De’Longhi Dedica Coffee Grinder arrived in my home last week! I have to say, I never thought I could make perfect coffee like this at home. Ever. But I am impressed with the ease of use, the clever design and the coffee that has me wanting to create and enjoy every morning!

Now, I have to say, I am a very busy single mom of three girls and four dogs. Because the De’Longhi seemed to me that it would take longer to make my coffee in the morning, I did not think I would make it every morning. I am, like most of us, used to the pop it in, turn it on and instant coffee in a cup. But the taste of this coffee, the quality of the flavor and the thrill of creating anything from a Cappuccino to an Americano in my own kitchen has made it all worth it. Truth be told, once you do it a few times, the process is just as fast but much more rewarding than what I was doing before.

Let’s talk about the De’Longhi Coffee Grinder for a moment before we move on to the Espresso Machine for your perfect coffee experience.

The De’Longhi Coffee Grinder is sleek and sexy and fits perfectly under my low cabinets. It’s slim design saves space and it’s cleaverly compact package make it perfect for an at home coffee lover. Setting it up took not time at all and the most complicated part was finding the attachment that lets me grind right into the portafilter, which is tucked behind the grounds holder.

The grinder lets you set it for the number of cups you want to have and the type of grounds you want. Do you want extra fine for Turkish coffee? Medium for drip coffee or course for French Press? You can set the strength right with a button push and set the grinder to create the grounds that make your coffee. The carafe that holds the grounds is air tight and even offers a flap to preserve them in case you don’t need them that day!

The De’Longhi Espresso, ‘bean to cup’ machine is impressive and fun to use. With a large water reservoir in the back and the steamer for milk right on the side, you can use it instantly in the morning without a lot of fuss.

There are some cool features I really like on this machine and that I never would have thought of before the De’Longhi. For instance, you can warm your cup on top of the machine as you are grinding and setting up your portafilter! Also, you can remove the bottom of the machine where the cup sits to put in larger cups. You can brew two cups of espresso at the same time! And you can lower the spouts on the machine to make your espresso extra creamy.

I love milk frothing arm that lets me froth my milk or get instantly hot water when I need it!

Seriously, guys, this makes coffee house coffee at home and is so fun to use! Plus, with the creaming of the milk to make my Cappuccino, I can control the temperature, froth level and even eliminate my need for sweeteners as the flavor is so smooth and so rich that it sweetens itself!
