This holiday season was crazy. Between work, kids, Christmas and life in general I never thought I would see the light at the end of the tunnel. Through it all, however, I never lost sight of the fact that there are people around me everyday that are dealing with the same things and more and may need a smile. Thanks to Just Right by Purina and ambassador One Eyed Jack, we had an opportunity to pay it forward and to give back a little to a dog owner in our community!
As a family we love to give! All of us. Not just the humans! Though it could be argued that we are instrumental in getting our dogs to be generous, we prefer to think that they truly enjoy it, as evidenced by their wagging tails!
As we thought about people who could use a little holiday cheer for them and their pets this holiday season, the kids and I all came to the conclusion that our neighbor, Barbara, and her menagerie of pets deserved a thank you for taking such great care of animals everywhere!
Barbara is constantly helping the animal community. Whether it be by adopting dogs and cats that no one else wants to bringing home the scraggly kitten dumped behind her work.
Not only is she an inspiring and kind heart but she has raised both of her daughters to be the same way. Both of them take in foster dogs, help find homes for them and then take in more. One of them even started and manages a group in town meant to help reconnect lost pets with their owners.
They truly are an inspiring family and we could think of no one better to get a care package with some toys, a tumbler and some codes for Free Just Right by Purina food!
So on a cold morning in Texas I walked over with a goodie bag courtesy of Just Right by Purina. In it were some toys for her dogs, a tumbler and a measuring cup for the food! I also had three coupons for free bags of Just Right by Purina for all three of these awesome ladies who do so much for the pet community!
Barbara and her granddaughter were so excited and it made their day to have a little gift that means so much!
One Eyed Jack was told of the whole delivery and he was a very proud boy! He was glad to know that they were going to be able to go online and order food specifically designed for their own dogs and their needs. Each bag is custom to the dog’s needs!
This holiday season giving back is the best thing we can do. Jack and I thank Just Right by Purina for an amazing year as ambassadors and the gifts they have allowed us to give others!
