You guys have known me a while now and you know that I love to curl up with my girls and watch a good movie. I am HUGE on unplugging – especially in the summertime – but there is nothing better than snuggling with my babies, those who I, literally, have known their whole lives, and listening to them laugh, sing and learn with a movie made for them.
As you know from earlier this summer, I LOVE Netflix Just for Kids options. And because of it, I have been able to drastically reduce my cable bill without giving up quality shows that educate and entertain my kids!
But there is more to than kids shows. There is a vast array of movies and shows you can watch with them that create those special memories on a muggly, summer night!
Now, I am going to be brutally honest here. I may have over scheduled my kids this summer. Vacation Bible School, Art Camp, Cheer Camp, private swim lessons and more have had us going here and there all summer long. But now I am entering about 5 – 6 weeks with nothing schedule. And except for the two weeks that they go with their dad, I am a little panicked.
Because, and I think all stay at home moms can relate to this, parenting gets a little harder in the summer. The days are long and hot, bedtime becomes erratic and kids get bored. Fast. Almost before they even wake in the morning.
So, though I am not one to turn on my television and leave it on all day long, I will be using the awesome Netflix options to at least get my kids through the super hot part of the day when the pool and the outdoor play sets are unusable. Plus, after just one show my kids are ready to reenact what they have seen through dress up and imaginative play! I LOVE that!
And, along the way, I’ll pop some popcorn and share some awesome time with my three little ones as we take in The Lorax, The Secret of the Wings and more. But what I really LOVE is the TV for curious kids that has shows about how things are made, dinosaurs and more!

I, though, also love that I can catch up on shows I have missed while being a busy parent after the kids are in bed! Arrested Development anyone?
