This innovative and exciting first run event has been arranged exclusively for the families and communities of the Greater Boston area and provides parents and caregivers an alternative to the “what do we do today” blues. The movie playdate combines fun, wholesome and educational storylines on-screen with a live host right in the theater to help kids sing, dance and play along.
These animated films showcase experiential educational stories that have no villains or scary concepts, and provide a playtime environment where children sing and dance along while interacting with the film and live character host.
Two films from the four feature series, HARRY’S BIG BIRTHDAY COUNTOWN and TILLY’S BIG CAMPING ADVENTURE, have been selected to run alternate weeks of the engagement allowing families to return for a new feature experience over the course of the three weeks. All of the presentations include songs, dancing and audience interaction.
MY FIRST MOVIES is an ongoing series that combines a cuddly live character host, Mitten the Kitten, with a movie presentation, specifically designed for the underserved market of children 1-4 years of age and their parents. The program will premiere at the Showcase Cinema De Lux at Legacy Place in Dedham, MA for the first run of this much anticipated national film series event. Movie playdates are scheduled to play at a morning performance on April 13-14, 16, 20-21, 23 and 27-28th.
