I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kohl’s. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
Let’s face it, Back to School shopping can be expensive, time consuming and frustrating. No matter how good and comprehensive my list is, I always forget something. Plus my three kids are hit and miss when shopping for clothing and trying them on. SoIi am heading to Kohl’s for my Back to School shopping, I knew that I could get what I wanted and get out on a budget.
But my single most concern is the price versus the quality of clothing that I get for them. I don’t want to spend my hard earned money and then have to replace something a few weeks later because a seam came out.
I love that Kohl’s offers all of the trusted name brands that I love for me and my kids and that I can get instant savings AND future savings at check out for anything I might have forgotten and need to go back for.
This week I loaded my kids and headed to Kohl’s with a list a mile long. Jeans, shoes, tops, socks and so much more was needed for each child. Three kids needing back to school could certainly cost me my mortgage payment. So I grabbed my Kohl’s card to get the maximum savings!
I also had a coupon that I got in my special mailer I get for having a charge card with Kohl’s and I had a coupon that I got in the regular Kohl’s mail out. I was loaded and ready to save BIG!
We hit the kids section and got clothing that was clearly going to last past their first wear! Knitworks, Sonoma, Candies, Hello Kitty, Jumping Beans and more filled our basket for them. We tried things on in the massive dressing rooms and had a blast. I even added some MUDD and Up and rewind dresses for myself!
Everything was on Sale. 50% off in most cases! I got a beautiful summer dress, after 50% off and coupons, for only $14.90! The original price was $49.95.
When my cart was full -and my kids were done – it was time to hit the register.
As the register rang up my purchases, I was a little nervous. The numbers were adding up fast!
In fact, my total before coupons was $515.93! OUCH! Even for 3 kids and a few for me, that was way over my budget!
But once I got my 30% off for using my card, got another $10 off from the mail coupon and got my 50% discounts on almost everything, my total went to $196.01! That is a savings of $319.92!
Not too bad considering that I got almost everything on my list and a few for me!
PLUS I got 6 game pieces in the Back to School sweepstakes where I have already won 2 more 20% off coupons! And, I got $10 cash back for every $50 I spent, so I have $30 in Kohl’s cash that I can use on my next trip! PLUS, I signed up for the new Kohl’s rewards program which gave me 15% off my next visit AND I get 8 additional savings offers per year, a point to use against my purchases for every dollar I spend and a $5 reward for every $100 I spend.
Phew. That is a lot of savings potential!
And since I forgot some tennis shoes for my middle daughter, I will be using them when I head back to Kohl’s this weekend!
