The warmth is in the air (or will be soon), the flowers are struggling to blossom, the kids are wanting to be out playing more and the unmistakable sign of Spring is on it’s way. One of my most favorite things EVER to celebrate the warmth of the sun and the blossoms of color that appear is to buy a new outfit or two. Sometimes, as adults, we just pull out the same thing we wore last season. But with the savings and great choices at Kohl’s, everyone should celebrate surviving this long, long winter season with something fresh and new!
I desperately need to update my wardrobe. I have spent the last year and a half updating the house, taking care of the kid’s wardrobes and more. But every once in a while, Kohl’s cash in hand, coupons in my purse, I get to splurge on a budget with great styles. The Spring, with awesome outfits from LC Lauren Conrad, Elle, Apt. 9, Jennifer Lopez and more, it took me two shopping trips to make up my mind.
I walked the clothing, accessory, shoe and handbag areas of Kohl’s, tried on everything in the store, thought about my plans for the Spring season, what I would need to look refreshed and pretty, and settled on a beautiful Wink in Pink Spring Dress from Elle. I also found a super cute over sweater for the chill that can come in the evening air and felt my outfit was complete!

As a very busy single mom of three, I feel like outfits that are versatile are the best for Spring. Pair shorts with a top and then add a fun jacket and some raised sandals for the evening. Get a great pair of Capris and add a tank top. Later in the day, toss the flip flops for some slip ons and throw on a light, off the shoulder sweater for dinner with friends. And, as with the dress I purchased, trade work heels for flip flops and laze on the deck with friends.
Anything that is bright and versatile- pinks, blues, yellows and more – should be a staple in any good Spring Wardrobe!
I wore my bright Elle dress out the other night and felt so beautiful and amazing in it. I can not wait to wear it again and pair it with accessories, shoes and more for the many places I can wear it this Spring!
