As you may remember, last year I did a several month trial on Jenny Craig. Though I did lose weight**, I gained something much more valuable from being on the program. I spent a few months worried about me for once. I had to. I had to focus on what I was eating, how I was taking care of me and how my lifestyle was affecting my health, and, therefore, affecting my daily life. Two major changes I made during my time on Jenny Craig stick with me still today. Breakfast and Exercise. As you know, inspired by a chance to make some good decisions for me, I took up CrossFit. I also force myself to go to morning workouts so that I have to eat breakfast ahead of time.

I will admit, when I was offered a chance to try Jenny Craig, I was skeptical. I had in my mind that ‘programs’ are all about making sure you eat what they want you to eat and that you are accountable if you mess up. I did not realize the lasting affects doing it for a few months could add to my everyday lifestyle. Jenny Craig ended up being the inspiration that I needed to jump start a healthier overall lifestyle for me.

Not only was it the actual program but the weekly catch up, you must share your success and fails, have to be accountable to someone else, calls with my rep from the Jenny Anywhere part of the program kept me going. Her enthusiasm when I lost even one pound, her excitement when I told her I worked out 4 – 5 days a week, her sympathy when I told her I slipped up, was motivational and kept me on track.

Aside from really taking a little while to pay attention to what I put in my mouth, I learned that a common thread among people who struggle with their weight is that we skip breakfast. Because I had to eat in on the program, I trained my body to be hungry and to want to eat in the mornings. That routine is steadfast and I do feel like my days are better, I have more energy and my health is better because I now have my eggs in the morning.

Weight management and getting healthier can be really hard. I have struggled for years. I will always credit Jenny Craig, the education and the motivation I got from the program, and the valuable time I took getting to be honest about how I took care of myself for propelling me into a much healthier lifestyle! It may not seem like much, but the right program can motivate you to make more positive changes than you ever thought possible!

Are you ready to make some serious changes? Try Jenny Craig for motivation, education and support while you make the improvements that will show on your body, in your mind and in your life!
