How to Stay in Touch With Your Young Kids When Your Ex Has Them

One of the hardest things I had to understand when I chose to become a single mom was that there would be times that I would be away from my kids. They would be with their dad and I would have little contact with them. Sure, I call every day, he does the same when they are home, but I miss them so much when they are gone, and they miss me. Weary of getting them another phone, the one they had was lost, I have been looking for a way to connect with my girls when my ex has them. I needed something they really wanted to carry around and even something they could use at bedtime when they miss me most, to communicate! These are a great way to stay in touch with my young kids when they are gone!

Rather than bore you with all of the little details of how to set up and use your CloudPets™, I’d rather show you in the video below!

It really is easy to set up. I set up two and can send the same message to both pets or send individual ones to each pet! I just use the CloudPets™ app on my phone. If the kids want to send a message from their CloudPets™ back to me, no matter where they are, they just record it to their Kitty or Unicorn and I get a notification on my phone that it is there! By the way, the 2.0 app lets kids play games and even send fun noises to their pet! We turned Megan’s Kitty into a chicken and she loved it!!

My kids often tell me that they miss me a lot at bedtime when they are at their dads. So I love that I can send a 10 second message to them that they can hear and be comforted by! I can sing them a little song, tell them a little story and even send a message with their dogs barking in the background! This is a wonderful, new, one-of-a-kind product that keeps my kids in touch even when far away.

By the way, as a safety girl, I love that the FREE app has parental controls too. So I can hear every message they get from friends and family before I let it go to the CloudPets™ if I want! I have already invited my ex to send messages via the app to their CloudPets™ and I know my girls are going to love hearing his message when he accepts it!

My girls are too young for phones and hoping my ex will relay a message can be frustrating. This is not only an awesome toy, but it is a way for me to communicate with my kids when they are away. It brings comfort all around. For a single mom who missed her girls desperately when they are gone, it is a great way to have a little of me there!
