This dog of mine. This fuzzy, mix of all breeds that I found at a crawfish boil almost 11 years ago is a part of my heart. He was so small. He fit in the palm of my hand, snuggled me with love and gratefulness and has almost not left my side since. A small 20 pound heart of gold, my Bud is my old dog that I want to keep up to his old tricks for as long as possible. I want him to run and play with his brother and sister, Jack and Piper, and I need him to be on this planet, as aware of the life around him as much as possible, with my three daughters. He is the dog they have known since birth. Their constant companion adn unwavering protector.

Now you may wonder why I want Bud to have every advantage of living the fullest life as a senior dog. Truth be told, it breaks my heart to see the other two dogs playing so much and Bud watching. He has always been an amazing dog and I can’t even begin to think of the day he crosses the Rainbow Bridge. I have had many dogs in my home and, by far, Bud is my favorite. He was my exercise partner when I ran all the time, laid by my side sharing my snacks when I was pregnant with the girls and became their constant playmate as they grew. He is the one dog that has been here for every single day of their lives.
To this day he sleeps in the girls bedroom, barking and whining if a leaf so much as dare to get near their window, protecting them from ghosts on the wall, the monsters under the bed and the noises that they hear. The girls dress him up, use him as a pillow, love on him when they are sick and very much consider him a part of the family they know.
Now that I have a GoPro Hero 4, I can strap it onto Bud and he can record his awesome day with his girls! He seems to love it and you know the kids do too!
