Unplug Your Family Vacation at Gulf County, Florida

I realize I have said this many time, but it seems, at least for some of us that Spring is actually coming! I am already looking at vacation destinations for the girls and I. Warm sand on our toes, the sun beating down on us, the family time that will never be replaced. There are so many wonderful places that it is hard to choose! But recently, I got wind of Gulf County, Florida. Come visit GCFL is opening my eyes to parts of the state that often get passed over by families who are all heading to that other part of Florida. But for those of us who want a relaxing, peaceful getaway with the ones we love, Gulf County, FL is the place.

In Northwest Florida, GCFL has 43 miles of warm, sandy shoreline. They don’t have high rises, streets lined with flashing lights and I dare say, wi-fi might be a little spotty. A dream sentence for someone who is addicted to technology most days and wants to totally unplug and just be with her girls.

Snorkeling, paddle-boating and the occassional encouter with a new creature – safe ones, of course – can create more than just a vacation. It can create memories that won’t soon fade from curious children’s minds!

I want to visit Cape San Blas which boasts white sand beaches and what is known as the #ChampionofSunsets. I would sit on the peninsula with my girls and soak in the sun as it dipped into the horizon.

Since the beaches are constantly ranked in the top 10 in Gulf County, Florida — including their pet Friendly Beaches- I know the girls and I would have a blast!
