I have talked several times this year about Box Tops for Education and why I think they are so important. It takes such little effort for a family to collect them on products they already buy and to give them to the school. My kids are into it as well as they love to have me buy items that have Box Tops on them. Luckily, we already buy most of it anyway. So the other day, walking through Walmart, I stopped in the cereal aisle to stock up for breakfast! Sure enough, on select General Mills® cereals, there were BONUS Box Tops!!

Supplies, electronics, backpacks for kids who can not afford them and more! Box Tops for Education has contributed over $525 million to participating schools since the launch of the program in 1996. That is a lot of money from brands that you would buy anyway!
In my house it is not lost on me that the kids and I are very blessed to be able to get what they need for back to school. But unless grants come in or parents donate, purchases by schools are limited to the budget they have. So this little thing that we as parents can do to help our schools is so, so big!
I started getting my kids involved in Box Tops many years ago and now we have a canister that holds them until it is turn in day. My girls love to count them and figure out how much they are giving. It really is an awesome way to teach kids to give back every single day!
