Reading Under the Covers with EVEREADY® and Scholastic!

I am very blessed that I have the room in the house to have a children’s library. A while back, all of my girls wanted to share a room so I turned one of the spare’s into a library full of any book they wanted. I can find any one of them at any time curled up with a book in there. But to me, even that is not enough to encourage reading for my kids. Sometimes, you have to grab a book, an EVEREADY® flashlight and some snacks and have a Reading Under the Covers party! We did it simply! The reading party does not have to be complicated. It is just a way to add yet another level of excitement to the adventures that kids can only find in books!

With my kids, I threw a sheet over two bar stools, grabbed the popcorn that I mixed M&M’s into and a few flashlights. Even my 5 year old, who loves to read if SHE decides to read, absolutely loved getting under the covers and reading via flashlight. Books like Goodnight Moon for my little one, Fly Guy for my middle daughter, and Charlotte’s Web for my big one are always on hand for my kids to love!

Hosting anything that centers around reading is an awesome thing in my book. As the kids of a writer, books are the reward, the escape and the love that I really want to instill in my kids. So with the team of EVEREADY® and Scholastic and some fun entertainment, I know I can further promote their love of books!
