It was a hot and balmy night in Houston, TX and I needed a place to dress up, cool off and enjoy that was just a little off my typical suburban chain restaurant map. I had heard about a brand new restaurant in The Heights, Houston that was chef inspired called Eleven XI so I jumped in the car and headed into town.
Easy to find at 607 West Grey Street, parking is on the street or Valet. I chose to park on the street and had no issues at 6pm. I walked up and onto the vast outdoor patio where umbrellas shielded patrons from the sun and entered the main dining room.
The atmosphere is festive with an elegant flair. Linen napkins, place settings and tablecloths warmed the room that housed enough tables to handle a crowd.
I was meeting up with some other blogger pals in the bar so I made my way there!
The bar sits right of the door and has a long bar area and tables to relax and enjoy the company of your friends with. There was everything from unique, craft beer on draft to a wonderful house Pinot Noir to mixed drinks for you to enjoy.
As we sat and chatted, the food started to come out. The restaurant boasts Southwestern Coastal Cuisine and it is clear that the chef is in charge of the dishes. We got to sample the Braised Pork Shank (SO good!), the Fried Oysters, the Mozz & Tom Salad, the Blue Grits (YUM YUM!) and so much more!
Everything was delicious and a major hit!
Being able to relax with excellent food and drinks and conversation makes Eleven XI the place to go for a casually elegant night out!
