I live in a house with no fireplace. Though not uncommon in Texas, it is the first I have had that does not have one. Without a fireplace comes no mantle. I miss my mantles in previous houses. They were awesome to display school and family photos and for other nick knacks I loved, like candles and decorations and warmth to the house. A few years ago I decided that I could convert my sofa table into a make shift mantle. I have already added some photos to it and some decoration to the wall behind it, but now I need that warmth I crave for fall. Walking through Walmart the other day, I found everything I needed! Like the NEW American Home by Yankee Candle® brand selection in the Home and Candle section!

My nose went on a happy journey through the many fragrances that are now available on Walmart shelves. With the weather cooling and the leaves soon to fall, fragrances like Shades of Fall can only add to the warm, happy feeling in my home. As I plan for the holidays ahead I love that Pumpkin Apple Harvest and Ginger Pumpkin Pie American Home by Yankee Candle® brand fragrances are here to enhance not only my holiday spirit, but my memory of happy family times as well.

If you have not had the great pleasure of having a American Home by Yankee Candle® brand in your home then I hope I can encourage you to give them a try. They seem to have the magical formula of a hint of scent fragrance longevity figured out. Unlike some fragrance candle lines, I can still sense the elegant wafting of Ginger Pumpkin Pie even when  the wick is down to the bottom of the jar. Because I trust and love them so much, I not only buy the largest jar candles I can, but on occasion, I buy the candle melts and other products now readily available.

Buying these candles and now in the fall spirit, I roamed around Walmart looking for other decor to help me dress up my house for fall using American Home by Yankee Candle® brand as a centerpiece. I found some silk flowers in the craft department, along with some paint-able letters and a crate that might help me decorate it all! I also found some burlap for a fall table runner! My idea was to create a floral centerpiece, being very careful to follow all of the safety and warning labels on American Home by Yankee Candle® brand and to create something really pretty and fallish.

Check out how I put my table together!

What you need:

2- 3 American Home by Yankee Candle® brand candles. They are totally affordable with the large being around $15, the small around $10 and the smaller items, like votives and melts, are even less. So this can be done in any way that fits your budget!

A glue gun

Silk flowers

A stand – like a crate

Paintable letters

Paint

Ribbons

Burlap runner

Start by clearing off your table or mantle and then lay the runner over it, cutting it on the ends to make it even. Easy and Warm Fall Table Centerpiece #LoveAmericanHome ad @Walmart

Once that is done, preset your American Home by Yankee Candle® brand and decor to get an idea of what you want to do. Then, using the glue gun, attach the silk flowers to the crate. It does not take much to attach them and only holding them on for 30 seconds or so makes them stick.
