It has been a heck of a year for me and my girls!  But we have come out of the divorce unscathed and stronger than ever!  To celebrate our new found lifestyle, complete with laughter, fun and hope for the future, we threw our first ever girl’s cookout!  Men were invited – and so was a whole slew of Cutter Insect Repellents to ward off the Texas bugs – but we girls planned and threw it!

To prepare for the cookout, we had to do the most important thing ever in planning and having an outdoor summer event.  Protect the yard and our guests from the summer mosquitoes and other bugs that can ruin a perfectly planned summer event!

Lucky for us, Cutter Insect Repellents carry a HUGE line of products aimed at protecting the entire family and any one else from bites and possible diseases that bugs can carry.  West Nile is a really bad party gift to pass on, don’t you think?

In our package we received:

  • Cutter Skinsations Insect Repellent Pump Spray, 6 oz.
  • Cutter Dry Insect Repellent Aerosol, 4 oz.
  • Cutter Backwoods Insect Repellent Aerosol, 4 oz.
  • Cutter Backyard Bug Control Spray Concentrate, 32 fl. oz.
  • Cutter Backyard Bug Control Outdoor Fogger, 16 oz.
  • Cutter CitroGuard™ Triple Wick Candle, 20 oz.
  • Cutter CitroGuard™ Bucket Candle, 17 oz.
  • Cutter CitroGuard™ Candle, 11 oz. red
  • Cutter Scented Citronella Outdoor Candle, 11 oz. Vanilla & Lavender
  • Cutter Natural Insect Repellent Pump Spray, 6 fl. oz.

Looks like  a pretty good round up for a complete yard and human protection, doesn’t it?  And I can honestly say that the already huge Texas Mosquitoes were no match for the power of Cutter!

Now, because I am a single mom and my kids are not that great with the camera, I don’t have any photos of my spraying my yard, mostly around my bushes and plants where mosquitoes like to hang, with the Cutter Backyard Bug Control Spray Concentrate and the Cutter Backyard Bug Control Outdoor Fogger, but I did and I think it made a HUGE difference.  So much so that even though the cookout started 4 hours before sundown, we did not need any of the Cutter CitroNella Candles until nightfall!

But the most important protection, at least to me, was to the children while out playing on the water slide.  I used the Cutter Dry Insect Repellent Aerosol and the Cutter Natural Insect Repellent Pump Spray to protect them.  My kids, and my friends kids, played in water, ran around chasing each other and even played yard games and I don’t think I saw a single bite on them!  That is what really matters to me.  Making sure that young children are not bitten and dealing with those annoying itches that come with the bites!

As my friends all relaxed in the bug free zone of my yard, we watched the children play, swapped stories of the summer to come and enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs and other yummies that people brought.

As I sat back, my work all done a few hours in, I patted myself on the back.  Because the girls and I had pulled it off.  The house was clean, the water slide rigged to work from a broken tube, the hamburgers and hot dogs delicious and the conversation flowing.  And by the time everyone had packed up and gone, I was feeling energized and like I could do anything.

Pulling off our first ever girl’s cookout was no small feat.  But we worked together, concentrated on the big and didn’t sweat the small stuff and created a bug free, fun atmosphere as a team!
