I think we all have words that we create to explain the serious messes in our homes.  From toothpaste leftovers in the bathroom to the floor to the counters in the kitchen, we all have to deal with the ICK that invades our homes on a daily basis!

I, personally, get tired of the stains in the kitchen!  It seems that no matter what I do, the counter gets a spill, the floor gets a splatter and the fridge gets some drips that I can not explain.  I, being a good and decent mother, blame it all on my children.  Unfortunately, no matter whom I blame, I have to clean it up!

My words for my two messiest spills and stuck on grime are Micro-Ick and Milkoopsy.

Micro-Ick drives me BATTY!  This is the stuck on gunk that spills over microwavable plates and bowls.  I usually clean it up right away but when I have three hungry kids and my hands are full getting them fed, I sometimes miss the Micro-Ick that forms and dries for me to scrub off later.  I can not stand opening my microwave and seeing it but, sadly, it does happen.

The other “mess” that really frustrated me I call MilkOopsy.  Now, I don’t cry over spilled milk.  Unless one of my children tries to pour her own and I don’t notice it until later on and it is sticky and icky and gross!  Seriously, if I don’t see it from lunch to dinner time – which has happened – the sticky mess is annoying.  I have to really use my elbow grease to get it off my counter!  Forget if it has dripped to the floor!
