There IS a Difference in Where You Take Your Car for Service if it is Christian Brothers Automotive

‘Oh, you are a single mom? Do you want to sign up for this Saturday to get a free oil change? We do free oil changes for single parents several times a year!‘ That was my introduction to Christian Brothers Automotive. I must say; I was impressed. This was a car place, right? You know. Where you get your oil changes, your tires rotated and your brakes looked at. The kind of place that gets a bad rap because there always seems to be a major repair needed when they are ‘looking’ at your car! Not Christian Brothers Automotive. I learned pretty quickly that community and service combine and this automotive giant is proving it!

I walked into the clean and very friendly store a few weeks back with the pre-conceived notion that this would be like all the rest. I would be asked if I wanted an inspection of the car and then an oil change and then new wiper blades and would end up with a pricey bill I had not anticipated.

I was asked what I needed, of course, and then was told that the thorough, 32 point inspection was complimentary. As in… FREE!

Not just for me because they know I was coming. But for everyone who walks into one of their franchises nationwide. They have stores in 27 stated and every one has the philosophy: To love our neighbors as ourselves—and care for them by taking care of their cars.

Now, before I get tool far into the services they offer and why I think that they really do want to stand tall and honest in the car industry, let’s talk about their involvement in the communities they are in.

As I said, the ‘single parent’ free oil changes blew me away. Having never heard of that before I had to ask several times if there was a catch. I was told no over and over by the owner of the franchise and the helpful employees.

They them told me a story of helping a mom who’s car was falling apart by simply buying her a new one. ‘It is the least we could do for a member of our community.‘, they said.

Check out this story that will inspire you as well but that is also a great example of Christian Brothers Automotive giving back.

If that does not make you tear up then I don’t know what will!

Now that I have you looking at Christian Brothers Automotive in a whole new light, lets talk about the services.

As I mentioned, every time you visit Christian Brothers Automotive, your car will receive a complimentary courtesy inspection. It is their way of helping to ward off big, expensive auto repairs that no one saw coming. They check everything from your belts to your fluids to your shocks and struts. It is very comprehensive!

Another complimentary service they offer is a brake check. Even during routine oil changes, they take the time to do a complete brake inspection, free of charge.  Their ASE-certified technicians don’t just inspect your brake pads, they examine the rotors and brake fluid too, to ensure that your brakes are functioning as they should. Common indicators of a brake problem include:

  • Brake lights
  • Brake noises (squeaking or screeching)
  • A burning smell when the brakes are applied
  • Rumbling or vibration in the steering wheel
  • The need to press the brake harder than usual

If you are having any of these issues, Christian Brothers Automotive wants you to come in so they can help you assess the needs your car has to insure your family is riding safely!

As I sat there waiting on my inspection to be complete, I listened to the staff and the customers who came in. One woman had purchased a car for her daughter and wanted it to be inspected by a place she knew and trusted. Another gentleman came in for his appointment an hour early but they worked to get him in and out in a timely manner anyway. The staff and manager were present and answering phone calls as soon as they rang.

As I looked around the clean and comfortable waiting area, complete with coffee and a gentle music wafting through the air, my eye landed on the myriad of awards that this Christian Brothers Automotive location had earned. By my first experience, the honest and straightforward persona the staff exudes and the smiles on everyone’s faces who walked in, I could see that they are deserved.

Learn the same lesson I did: Community and Service combine at Christian Brothers Automotive.  When was the last time you checked them out?
