A few years ago we recorded the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards. Once we had it, we watched it so much that the girls knew every number by heart and every winner! Since then, the Kid’s Choice Awards are a MUST see in this house! The 2015 edition of the award show that all kids love is coming March 28, 2015! As a special treat this year, I am planning to have some of the kids friends over and to celebrate big! Since I have to have something special to serve our guests I am making some Celebration Cake Cookies and having them wash them down with Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters juice drink!
Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters is the perfect addition to my kid’s lunches and snack times so I always stock up. While wandering the aisles looking for the Kid’s Choice Awards display (mine was not up yet), I did find the 30 packs of Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters! Three boxes shrink wrapped together, the Tropical Punch variety is what the kids wanted. Now I have plenty of it for my party for the 2015 Kid’s Choice Awards!
But one can not celebrate on juice alone! Enter my Celebration Cake Cookies! This recipes is super easy and fun to make. You can make large or small cookies and add any color of cream on the inside!
- 1 box funfetti cake mix
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup of oil
- 2 TBSP milk
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 2 cups confectioners sugar (powdered sugar)
- food coloring
- In a bowl mix the cake mix, eggs and oil. Spray cooking oil on your hands and them form balls with your hands. Place them on parchment paper and flatten them with your hands. Cook about 8 minutes or until golden. Remove and let cool. In another bowl, add the butter, sugar and milk until smooth. Separate into bowls and add any color you want. Using piping bags or baggies with the corner cut, add icing to the cookie and top with another. Enjoy!
This very sweet treat adds that kick of celebration to any awards night, especially a Kid’s Choice Award night! My kids will be rooting for all of their favorite shows and characters that night. They want to see their favorite stars and they want to share the experience with friends! So planning a night of fun is a must. Serving great treats and drinks for them and their friends is a must, too!

Your cookie cakes look like such a fun addition for the kids (ok, I’d eat them too) for the Kids’ Choice Awards viewing! My middle son loves the Tropical Punch Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters and enjoys it with his lunch during the week. We’re still into the animated shows here, so I think my boys will be rooting for SpongeBob during the awards show! #client
