**I joined bloggers as we embarked on the Disney Social Media Moms Conference at Disney World and on the Disney Wonder Cruise to Castaway Cay. This is a non-sponsored post.**
We stepped off the Disney Wonder, into the sunshine and into a day that we will never forget. Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay, was our playground for the day. Just as anyone else would walking onto the white sand beach, looking out over the crystal clear clue water and hearing the seagulls above… we pinched ourselves. How lucky and blessed are we to be able to on Castaway Cay… how blessed were we…
The water was cool but it was February. They say it turns into the temperature of bathwater by June.
The warm sand replaced towels as the kids went into the water and then rolled in the sand, building sand castles and making memories as the day passed.
The beach was not busy as just the Disney Wonder cruise occupants were on it. So relaxing with a book or just on the beach was easy.
No Disney attraction is complete without play items for kids. Monkey bars, ropes to climb and decks to jump off of were all available.
The double slides with the water dump were a favorite as well! The kids burned energy as the sunshine beat down on the cool water.
It could not have been a more perfect day. With the birds over head, the clouds fluffy in the sky and the blue of the water only matched by the blue of the sky.
Play, relaxation and views that will never leave our memories make Castaway Cay an island we can not wait to get back to.
As we walked back on the boat, warm and tan, we were not unaware of the amazing day we had. We truly felt blessed to be in such a beautiful part of the Earth!
Welcome to Castaway Cay!! Breathe in…. breathe out…. #disneysmmc
