Every year I pull down the tree, grab the decorations and get to work. I am not sure of my decorating style yet except to say that, lately, it is kid driven. If it makes my children smile and get excited to behave for Santa, I am all for it. Inevitably, though, I always seem to need more decor. So the other day the girls and I headed to Sears to check out their Christmas section and maybe add to our style. While there we learned about the Best Dressed Home Sweepstakes! Back to Sears and their amazing decorations, though. The girls are OBSESSED with The Peanuts. So when we walked in and saw a wall dedicated to Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the while gang, our cart filed up quickly. With everything 40% off, we got some serious deals that can not be matched! We have a ‘Christmas table’ instead of a mantle so adding Peanuts to that was our goal. In addition, we found a Charlie Brown greeter that will go with Snoopy that we already have! But, for the adult in me, I want more space because I want to create a miniature Christmas village in your home with collections from Lemax, Department 56 and Coventry Cove! If my Sears had not been out of the Carousel, we would have started our village right then and there!
We started decorating right after Thanksgiving and after our trip to Sears, we are probably done for the year.
