I have a confession to make. I went to Best Buy to purchase a Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 for my assistant, Andy, who has been invaluable in helping me maintain my social media management company, and kept it for myself. Don’t worry. She has her own desktop and now can have my old laptop but when I saw how amazing this computer was, with Intel’s new 8th Gen Intel® Core™ processor, the ability to be a laptop or a tablet and its ability to speed up my to-do list with ease, I had to keep it. Truth be told, she *may* be getting one for Christmas anyway! Everyone should have this under the tree. As a small business and as a very busy modern mom, technology matters! I just did not realize how much it mattered until I had it in my hands!
Travel Easier with the 8th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor
Case in point. I was invited to a press junket with one week to prepare a few weeks ago. The junket was in Hawaii. Not too shabby, right? But I went into a little bit of a panic when I realized that my trusty laptop that I have had for years was starting to show signs of age. It was slow, had issued uploading and even had problem connecting to WiFi, which I desperately needed for the trip.
In this day and age of needing to get things done and needing to know things instantly, I could not trust that this old technology would serve me well on this press trip. I use my laptop for everything, especially when traveling. From online shopping – the holidays are around the corner, after all, to photo and video editing for the blog to streaming NetFlix while on the plane. So my PC that travels with me needs to have the ability to handle all that I throw at it.
MultiTask with Ease
After doing some reading about Intel’s new 8th Gen Intel® Core™ processor and it’s ability to let me multitask with ease, I headed to my local Best Buy to check out the new 2-in-1 computers that have the processor. I learned that there is a 40% performance jump between 7th Gen and 8th Gen Intel core and that it has 2x better performance compared to a 5-year-old PC. As a busy business owner and single mom of three, these facts alone made choosing to upgrade an easy one!
The Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 fit easily into my backpack and, literally, went everywhere I did in Hawaii. From cast and director interviews to the balcony of my hotel room where a rainbow added to the beauty of the landscape, I relied on it to get done what needed to be done!
Protect Your Information and your Kids!
As I did, however, and as I let my kids use the new laptop to surf, I am keenly aware of the threat of cyber hackers everywhere. I love the built in security features that come with the PC. Today’s reality is that cybercrime and computer viruses are on the rise. The built-in password and payment security features of the 8th Generation Intel® Core™ processor makes logging-in and online purchases on a new computer safer and simpler. This alone should be a compelling reason to upgrade this holiday season. I, for one, who is shopping online for almost everything this year, need that extra security to keep my information safe!
Versatility that Helps
I am so so excited about my new laptop and the noticeable superiority of the 8th Gen Intel® Core™ processor that I could go on for days about it. From the 10 hour battery life to the touch screen capability to the awesome pen that allows me to, literally, draw or write what I want, it has it all for the modern business woman and mom. The kids love the theater like videos and streaming movies and TV shows and I love that there is no lag or buffering during them.
Technology matters when running my modern life. It makes my work life easier, my travel life more productive and my mom life more manageable. I, honestly, have never been much of a tech person, always thinking that if it was on shelves, it was good enough.
But now that I have used and witnesses the complete upgrade with my Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 PC with the 8th Generation Intel® Core™ processor, I can not imagine using anything else!
What is on your list to Santa? Pen in a new PC with the 8th Generation Intel® Core™ processor and watch your production increase from day 1!
