These Ways to Organize Your Laundry Room are easy and fun

Several years ago, after reconnecting with my birth brothers, I had all of them, and their families down to my house. Not only was having 17 people in my house for a week completely insane, it was one of the best weeks of my life! The laughter, the fun.. the memories. They all melded together easily! But one benefit to having brothers, which I did not know until that week, is that they can be very helpful! While here, they helped me install a new stove-top and hood, switch out all of my old light switches, install new fans and so much more. The biggest job was building shelves and hanging areas in my laundry room! I always wanted folding shelves and I now had them. Years later, however, they have become cluttered and more like storage areas, forcing me to fold laundry in the living room. So it is time. It is time to clean it up and make it useful again! Part of cleaning it is freshening it up too. So some sachets with Purex® Crystals helped with that. But I did it and I want to share some great Ways to Organize Your Laundry Room!

Baskets help Organize your laundry room

Baskets help with great Ways to Organize Your Laundry Room

It seems odd that I would add something to a room that I am trying to clean, but it actually makes sense. Once of the reasons I use the shelves to store things is because they cabinets are hard to get things out of. One is very large and over the dryer. I am 5′ 1″. I can barely reach the top of the dryer. Baskets full of items I use in every wash, like Purex Crystals, that can be slid easily in and out of the cabinets is a great space saver. I only have to reach up twice – once to get it down and once to put it back – and it keeps everything I need neatly in one space. I also use baskets to hold ‘dog’ towels, dog treats and other items I keep in the laundry room. This keeps them from being spread all over the place.

Freshen with scent

These Ways to Organize Your Laundry Room include addinig freshness

I think we all associate scent with cleanliness. It just makes us feel better to walk into a room with a clean, fresh scent. Not only does Purex Crystals have 12 weeks of freshness for your laundry in every use, it also can provide that to the general aroma of your laundry room! I found Purex Crystals at several retailers and happily stocked up. I have used Purex Crystals for years and always have it stocked in my laundry room. Purex Crystals provide a great scent at a great price!

I purchase a good variety of Purex Crystals to keep my clothing fresh. With three kids and four dogs, freshness, and freshness that lasts, matters! While at various retailers this weekend, I picked up several of them. I love the Purex® Crystals Lavender Blossoms! They freshen your wardrobe with a full bouquet of invigorating Purex® Crystals Lavender Blossom® to brighten your everyday! My new favorite, though, is the Pure® Crystals Aromatherapy Well Being!  With essential oils right in the little beads, they Infuse and refresh your laundry with soothing notes of aromatic citrus and florals to put a little bliss in your day!

To create a cute sachet, just add Purex Crystals to a thin sock, like a pantyhose sock, or a small sachet, and put them in cabinets, tucked away on the shelf and even sitting on the dryer for a fresher scent all day long. (Even if you accidentally leave the clothes in the washer overnight!)

Use cabinets Wisely

I think we all have a way of cramming things in cabinets just to get that ‘cleaned up’ look. But the truth is, if you look in my cabinets, there are things in there that I have not used since I bought the house 8 years ago! So it is time to use my cabinets more wisely by clearing out that old stuff and making room for what I really use. Using baskets to help organize them makes even better sense!

Remove what does not fit

For years I have kept things in the laundry room that take up a lot of room and just don’t fit. My tool kit, excess paper products and so on. These are big, bulky items that I have other places for. So by removing them I get my space back and have my folding shelves back as well!
