My friend was over on Monday of this week, hanging out with me and the girls, trying to relax and enjoy the day. The girls were in rare – and by rare I mean usual – form and were yelling and screaming and playing with all decibels on full force.
She and I could not have a simple conversation without it getting loud and drowning us out.
I was getting frustrated though she seemed fine with it.
At one point, I was trying to talk to her, fold laundry, tell the girls to be quieter and be graceful about all of it all at once.
I looked at my friend, who had also not been able to finish a sentence all day, and said, “I need a drink!”
A minute or so later I hear the bell on the door indicating someone had come in from the garage and turned around.
There stood Sarah, Bud Light in hand.
“Here Mommy, I brought you a drink!”
I am still laughing!!!
ROFL!!! i’m waiting for my friday hockey game drink right now!!! HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
HAPPY FRIDAY GIRL!!!
It’s a Friday night right now, and none of my kids are even slightly tired. In fact, they are very hyper and very awake, and it’s almost 9:00pm and my husband is working (24 hour shift at the fire station) and all I want is some time to myself….but I am NOT going to get that, so I think I’m just going to pour a glass of wine and go hide in the laundry room or someplace where they won’t find me. Yep, it’s one of those nights…
Love your blog – I’m a new follower via GFC :)
