My children are Tyson Chicken Nugget fanatics.  And you know from my Tyson Springtime Nugget Flower Pot that I am an advocate for getting creative and letting them play with their food!   So when I saw that there was a nugget like product on the market, but in the shape of awesome fries, I headed straight to Sam’s Club to pick up a bag of Tyson Homestyle Chicken Fries!

This summer, my kids and I are trying to get up, get out and get busy!  But, true to form, Strep Throat hit me and I have been down all week from it.  Luckily, my kids were already booked for Art Camp so they have been going and having fun and  mom being sick has not impacted them too much.

Well, I am feeling better, thank you very much, so after Art Camp the other day, I grabbed my happy, half painted kids, and headed to Sam’s Club.  Not only did I need some summer time activity books for the kids to help them stay sharp for school all summer, but I needed some yummy lunch food that would make them smile!

Walking into Sam’s Club is always fun with my kids.  We always try to go at lunch time so they can have the “biggest pizza I’ve ever seen!”  So, sure enough, three cheese pizza were on the agenda.

After lunch we headed back to the frozen food section.  Along the way we sampled fresh watermelon, tater tots and more.  Quite the mix of foods for my girls bellies, but they were happy!

It is so easy to find Tyson items at Sam’s Club.  They have half a case with a ton of choices right on one aisle for us to find. So seeing and choosing the Homestyle Chicken Fries took no time at all.  Big red bag right smack in the middle of the Tyson section.  We spent more time – and more money – in the book section picking out grade appropriate workbooks and a fun book for each of them too!

After grabbing some trash bags and small waters that my kids love, we headed out.

The next day while my girls were at Art Camp, I took out one of the two bags in the package of Chicken Fries and created a fun lunch for my kids!  I had way too much fun, I am not going to lie.

See my entire shop below in my Google + Album:

I started simple with a tomato in the middle, chicken fries around the edges and  and Mustard as decor for a simple summer flower.  Super simple and super popular!

The second one I did was a caterpillar.  Now, I am not all that good but I think I did OK.  In fact, Mr. Caterpillar might be my favorite!  I just cut some chicken fries into halves to make his body wiggle.  I added a tomato face with a mustard smile.  I then cut some chicken fries really thin for his legs.  I put a lady bug on his back for decoration and some carrots as polka dots.  Come on.  He’s CUTE!

The butterfly was super simple!  With apple wings, a chicken fry body, carrot eyes and decoration, she was a hit with my 6 year old.  But I needed a larger plate because I needed more than one to keep my kids happy!

I have to say, even with my taking a little time to decorate, the Tyson Chicken Fries were a fast, easy snack and/ or lunch for my kids.  Since then I have cooked up a batch, thrown them in a bowl, added the dips and they have devoured them!

If your kids are in any summer time activity – baseball, soccer, swimming, camp, vacation bible school – pick up Tyson Homestyle Chicken Fries next time you are at Sam’s Club and have them on hand for their fast meal or snack!  I bet you and they will love this fun option!
