It’s HERE!! Summertime! I could not be more thrilled! I have enjoyed a week of kids sleeping in, a relaxed schedule and the laughter and fun of all day play time. There are some challenges, however, that come with having kids home all day, along with their friends whom they ride bikes with, coming in and out. Dippable Classic Chicken Sandwich
It is not hard to make a chicken sandwich, I know. But adding the flair of French’s® Dipping Sauces to the side to dip the sandwich in, you add a level of deliciousness you will be thrilled with!
Yes, I dip my sandwiches. First of all, it helps me to get the flavor that I want in every bite. But it also helps me keep my portions in check for better-for-you eating. I put the recommended serving size in a small bowl and then go to town dipping with every bite! Trust me, you will LOVE it better this way!
Here is the low down on my classic chicken sandwich:
- 4 oz pieces of chicken, frozen or fresh
- lettuce
- tomato
- red onion
- salt and pepper
- cooking spray
- pretzel rolls
- French’s® Dipping Sauces
- Spray a skillet with cooking spray. Salt and pepper the chicken on one side. Place it seasoned side down in the skillet. While it cooks, slice the tomato, tear the lettuce and slice the onion. Measure out a serving of any variety of French’s® Dipping Sauces and set on a plate.
- Slice the pretzel roll and spray, lightly, with cooking spray to add a little moisture.
- Let chicken cook on one side for about 4 minutes, or until edges start to look cooked. Season the uncooked side and flip. Grill until done.
- Stack your chicken, lettuce, tomato and onion on your roll. Cut in 4ths for the best dippable size!
You will love this delicious and beautiful sandwich the minute you bite into it. I tried it with all of the sauces and it added a creamy tang for maximum flavor. However, the French’s® Sweet & Smoky Barbecue Mustard Dipping Sauce really made the sandwich pop!
