Hi guys!
I am so excited because this week we picked up at least 3 new members to the weight loss journey chronicles! The more people we have in, the more motivated I feel. Check out my mid week update for posts on other blogs of ladies joining and sharing their weight goals.
The purpose of my posts are to motivate not only me, but others who read who might be struggling. I am tired of fad diets, yoyoing up and down, and never learning anything along the way. So, as a recap, I am giving myself 52 weeks to lose 38 pounds. I am on week 3 and I am breaking even to a pound down.
I weighed in this morning and was 167.6. Yesterday morning, I was 165.6. I know my weight will fluctuate as I go, so I am fine knowing that I at least lost some this week… almost a pound I think. Plus, it was a rough week, as you all probably know, so I am allowing this week to kind of rest. At least I lost the one, right? 37 to go!
My husband is AWESOME and got me the Jenny McCarthy camera and work out DVD for Wii! I am SO excited and my goal this week is to try to do the DVD at least 30 minutes a day for 5 days. I am ramping my protein back up and really working in my water habit. I kept forgetting last week to drink it until late in the afternoon. It’s hard to start new habits.
So that is it for this week. More protein, more water, and more exercise!
I hope I have good news next week!
Thats awesome! Good job on making this big change! I think its awesome that your husband is so supportive! I am actually a fit coach….and that I can tell you is half the battle….Finding that support system. We just got a Wii for Christmas so I would love to know what you think about Jenny's workout thing and camera I saw something about it in the box when we unpacked everything.
You blog is cute by the way!!!!
Ooh! I will report back as soon as I can, Jennifer! I am SO excited to try it! Thank you for stopping by!
And thanks – I truly love my blog and my readers!
Good luck in your fitness endeavor (I don't like to call it weight loss endeaver, bc it's about becoming fit, which if it means losing weight, ok, if it means toning and adjusting eating habits, ok, it's about getting fit bottom line)! Be sure to add complex carbs to your diet, replacing refined grains with whole grains, since it burns more calories digesting them and keeps you full longer. And yeah, the support system, as Jennifer said, is huge. Who can really get fit if their significant other is bringing home ice cream, potatoe chips, &whatever else it is that might be your personal food vice? Good luck, you can do it! If not for you, for your kids! I hate exercise as well, but it's what I think about when I don't want to exercise.
Awesome! I've been on and off for a looooong time now, but I plan on starting again tomorrow (12/27). *Hopefully* this time it will stick!
I'm a new follower via blog hop. I like your blog! Would love a follow back if you like mine at http://www.fortyandtryingtobefab.blogspot.com
Congrats Lori on your progress! I too have begun the journey of losing this excess weight that I have carried for several years. It's tiring and it has to go! Will be following your blog! :)
YES YES YES!! I love having motivated people come and join me with their stories! We can DO this thing! We C A N!!
Woohoo! I am down 0.5 for the week…not great, but it is the right direction and it was Christmas after all.
Hubs got me the wii fit plus – but I already had the first one. I think I'll take it back and get the Sports Active that Margie recommended we get so we can compete on line.
This is going to be fun!
This is going to ROCK!!!! It is getting pretty big- I might have to start a specialty blog! LOL ;D
