As a little girl, I received a My Little Pony that had rainbow hair, a whimsical stance and the love of her owner for life. My Little Pony has come a long way baby; but, at the core, those little ponies are still awesome toys that enhance a child’s imagination. With three daughters of my own, I am thrilled to pass on my adoration of My Little Pony to them. Megan, my 4 year old, saw this box and could care less that ‘mommy had to write about it.’ She claimed the Palace and the Pony in it and pulled as hard as she could at the packaging to get it open. ‘Mommy, pllleeeeaaassseeeee!’
I smiled and grabbed my camera and some scissors and let me daughter fall in love with a toy that I had squeezed so tight as a little girl. I had a tiny lump in my throat as I saw My Little Pony all over again for the first time, through her eyes.
The Crystal Princess Palace comes with My Little Pony named Crystal and 20 accessories that help Crystal look her best no matter the situation. It took me no time at all to put the castle together, complete with coat hangers, a hair dryer and lots and lots of jewels to dress up Crystal for her royal duties. My daughter loves that Crystal has wings and can fly and she loves that she can change out the jewels in her royal robe. She changes her shoes more than she changes her own and sings to her as she gets her ready for her ‘audience’.
When my other daughters get into the imaginative play, they gather all of the My Little Pony characters that they own. The whole scenario turns into a moment that I have to stop and capture in my mind. To see them so little as they love, laugh and play together is truly a magical moment that I cherish.
