I am at Target, planning my weekly menu, enjoying the peace of slowly roaming the aisles when I came across THE movie to own this holiday season now out on Blu- Ray/ DVD! Along with it, and continuing for a limited time, I also got a $5 Target gift card with my purchase! Inspired by my little minions at home, I right then and there planned a super fun and simple Minions Movie Night! I was already at Target so I knew that with my Illumination Entertainment movie in hand, I could also get everything I needed for a fun time with the kids! Loading my cart with Market Pantry Vanilla Ice Cream, Archer Farms treats and more, I set off to make Minions Inspired Ice Cream cones and snacks for the perfect Minions Movie Night!

The kids and I are planning for even more fun as the Minions movie marathon continues this weekend!
A while ago I saw a video on how to color up your ice cream to make it match a certain theme. I have been waiting for the perfect time to make it for my kids! So I invited my neighbors over, their kids too, and we got to work making Minions Inspired Ice Cream cones!
- 1 gallon of Market Pantry Vanilla Ice Cream
- Blue food coloring
- Yellow food coloring
- ice cream cones
- Yellow candy melts
- Blue candy melts
- blue and yellow sprinkles
- blue and yellow candy to decorate
- Pull the ice cream out of the freezer and let it melt until soft. Sort it into three bowls. Add blue food coloring to one and yellow to the second and leave the third as is. Blend the food coloring into the ice cream. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Pour the blue ice cream into the pan and refreeze at least 10 minutes. Add yellow ice cream and refreeze 10 minutes. Add vanilla layer and freeze up to 24 hours.
- Before serving, melt the candy melts as per package recommendations. Dip the top of the cone in either color and then in the sprinkles of the opposite color. Let dry.
- When the ice cream is set, scoop it onto the cone and add candy! Serve quickly!
The ice cream will melt quickly so make sure you have lots of napkins around! We took our Minions lovers outside so that it could drip on the unseasonably warm day without too much of a mess! Make sure you line the container you have it in with parchment paper so that it can be removed easily!
To complement my Minions Ice Cream Cones, I poured some Archer Farms snacks into bowls for the kids and moms to snack on! With our Minions clothing and ice cream in our bellies, we sat and took in the movie that every family needs on their movie shelves!
