When it is time to go to the grocery store, I always choose Kroger first.  I have for years.  They have great prices, great sales and the store is always clean and easy to navigate.

For years, I have used the Kroger Brand in my house.  Usually, they are a lot less than the big name brands and they are always really delicious.  Plus, Kroger has such a variety of products that an easy dinner can be made in no time!

Kroger Brand Dinner

The other day I was seriously needing a balanced meal but knew that my schedule was not going to allow for a lot of time in the kitchen.  Luckily,  I had just been to the store and picked up a Kroger brand pork roast, some Kroger microwavable mashed potatoes,. some Kroger Crescent rolls and some Kroger Cupcake mix and icing!

I grabbed my crock pot, the pork roast, some carrots and onions and threw them all in.  Tip: Be sure to spray the crock pot inside first with cooking spray to avoid sticking and for easier clean up!  Literally, it took 5 minutes.  The real work was cutting the onion.  But only because the dang thing made me cry!  Be sure to add some liquid-  either water or a broth – to the pot as well!  I eyeball it but use just enough so you can see the

I set the crock pot to cook on low and left it in for 6 – 8 hours.  By the time dinner time came, it was ready!

My 5 year old wanted to help me make dinner, as usual, that night so I opened the can of Kroger Crescent Rolls and let her try her hand at them.  She did a GREAT job and I now have a permanent roller in my house!  LOL

While the rolls were cooking, I grabbed the mashed potatoes and threw them in the microwave for less than 5 minutes.  My kitchen smelled SO good between the roast, the rolls and the potatoes.  Even my kids came to dinner without a fuss or excuse.

When everything was done, I shredded the super tender pork roast with a fork, placed it on the plate, added the veggies that were also so tender, some taters, the rolls and we were ready to eat!  My kids ate EVERYTHING!!  Did you see that?  EVERYTHING!!!

And I had leftovers for days to reheat, make sandwiches with and more.

Next time you are at Kroger, pick up some of their name brand things that are designed to make your wallet happier, your family smile and your time more for you.  And make this crock pot recipe-  it is SOOOO good!
