I love, love, love to come up with fun ways to get my kids to eat their vegetables.  And long ago I discovered that dips were the way to go.  In fact, they have come to ask for dips.

However, I have bored of the standard dips and have been wanting to try some new things that are easy but fun and give the kids a new flavor to contemplate!  So I gathered them up after school the other day and headed to Walmart for inspiration and some Pull-Ups.  Especially since lately my kids are not eating their veggies at dinner!  I need to jumpstart their love for them again!

I tooled around Walmart looking for a tasting I had heard about for new Kraft Anything Pourable Dressings.   I love Kraft Dressings so I was really anxious to find the tasting and see what was new.  Unfortunately, the time and day my store said it was having a tasting was also the time and store that was seriously stocking like mad and moving crates and such to widen the aisles.  So the manager said they postponed any tastings!  However, check your local Walmart store for your Kraft Pourables tasting and check them out!

I did have to ask where they now had the dressings because I had some ideas coming to me as I passed pallets that they were moving in the store.  He directed me to their new location and my kids and I headed that way!

I walked down the new dressing aisle that also had croutons, mustard and other fun stuff and immediately found what I was looking for.  And I was IMPRESSED!  Kraft Anything Pourable Dressings come in a TON of flavors!  Seriously, you will be able to find anything you want!

You can still use them for your favorite salad but I was feeling inspired.  I, honestly, had a hard time choosing from the Creamy Italian, Raspberry Vinaigrette, Roka Blue Cheese and so.much.more! After standing staring for a while – and by standing I mean correcting my children and telling them to stop singing “Wallyhatchet” at the top of their voices {I can’t make these things up} – I picked up Cucumber Ranch, Green Goddess and Honey Mustard.

And then I went crazy on the spice aisle just getting things to mix in to make something fun and unique!  Taco Seasoning, Cajun Seasoning, Pumpkin Pie Spice – stay with me – and Guacamole Seasoning Mix.  I then stopped by and grabbed some Cream Cheese on a whim.  You never know what kind of crazy concoction I’ll come up with!

We got the Pull Ups, some super fun Halloween shirts – $6.50 for Character long sleeve shirts! – and then headed to the book section just for fun.  I had told the girls they could each get one since we no longer watch TV at home after school.  Reading is HUGE in our house and I love that!

After letting my oldest talk me into a Justin ‘Beaver’ book on clearance, we headed out!

Once home I sat and stared at my myriad of ingredients trying to figure out how to come up with some thing fun and exciting for our taste buds.  I decided I would try a few things and see how they went.  I mixed the Green Goddess Dressing with about 1/3 of the packet of guacamole seasoning.  It was pretty good….  really tangy but a good compliment to broccoli and my little one loved it!

The next mixture was the cool Cucumber Ranch with the spicy taco seasoning.  This one was really good and went well with carrots and dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets!  Even my Sarah, who likes nothing on her nuggets, really likes this dip!

But possibly my most fun experiement was to take a tub of cream cheese, pour the Honey Mustard Anything Dressing over it and then – for taste test purposes only – sprinkle one side with the cajun seasoning and the other with the pumpkin pie spice.  Surprising to say… the side with the pumpkin pie spice was my favorite!

It has the creaminess of the cream cheese, the tart and rich flavor of the Honey Mustard and the sweetness of the pumpkin pie spice!  This would be GREAT for the holiday season coming up!  I had it on carrots, broccoli and even chicken nuggets and it was really good!

I am dying to cook with the dressings and make ‘green chicken’, Honey Mustard wings and more!  I’ll let you know how they turn out!
