Last week I reviewed and gave away the first book in this wonderful series by Dana Lehman, Adventures at Walnut Grove: A Lesson in Teasing! We were introduced to the wonderful world of Walnut Grove and taught that teasing of any kind is just hurtful to others.
This week, I am thrilled to continue sharing with you my thoughts on the series. The second book in the series, I DOUBLE Dare You! is another Mom’s Choice Award’s recipient! And reading it to my kids, I see why.
Illustrated to perfection as was the last book, I DOUBLE Dare You introduces us to Sammy’s cousins, Silly and Sassy. Silly and Sassy have a way of always getting in trouble but Sammy is sure he can keep them under control during their five day visit. At first it seems like an easy task but when Silly almost hurt Bucky, their beaver friend, after a double dare, they all learn the valuable lesson of doing the right thing and making wise decisions.
Check out the book trailer below:
Peer pressure is everywhere from preschools to college. And teaching kids to make wise decisions for themselves despite what their friends do is hard. Having a tool that helps me along that is entertaining to my kids, beautifully illustrated and easy to access is invaluable.
This book also comes with the FREE downloadable lesson plan that includes games, movement activities and more! These plans help hit home the lessons in each of the books!
The author, Dana Lehman, is again offering on of my readers a change to WIN this wonderful book! Just click [continue reading] for easy Rafflecopter entry and good luck!
