A green smoothie recipe that is not green! How fun!

It was a very happy day when I brought my Nutribullet Select home! Why? Because, as you all know since you faithfully follow my Facebook and Instagram pages, I am all about making better choices at the ripe young age of 44! I am a very busy person and my days fly by. I have three kids, four dogs, two businesses, including this blog, and a house that is in constant need of something. We haven’t even gotten to laundry and the dishes and I am already exhausted. To say I need energy every day is an understatement. I added CrossFit in about a year and a half ago and now it is time to really pay attention to what I put in my body. I want natural fuel that I can make quickly at home that can also be on the go with me. I have wanted a Nutribullet forever so now that Walmart has the exclusive Nutribullet Select, I have one!  I have no more excuses for not making and energizing smoothie for on the go now! So, now I have to share my Fruit Smoothie and Green Smoothie recipes so you can fuel your day too!

This green smoothie recipe is delicious and gives you fuel for the day!

A little on the Nutribullet Select, which is exclusively at Walmart right now, so you know what you get! It comes with the heavy duty base, the blades which attach to the container you want to use, and three sizes of containers. It has a pitcher for those smoothies and mixtures for more than one, a travel container for your own smoothie and a smaller container which is perfect for dressings and salsas! It also has a travel lid and lids to make portability easy! It is dishwasher safe, except that I prefer to hand wash the blades, and looks very sleek on a kitchen counter. I have found a reason to use it every day and I bet you will too!

The Nutribullet Select makes this fruit smoothie and green smoothie recipe easy

One of the biggest challenges I face is eating breakfast. I get up between 5 and 5:30am, start working, get my oldest daughter up for school, send her off and then get my two youngest up for school. I then work for a little while and head to CrossFit. It is not until I am done with CrossFit at around 10:30am that I realize I have been up for five hours and have not eaten a thing. Coffee does not count.

The fruit smoothie is crisp and clean and the green smoothie is packed with nutrients!

Then, as my confession continues, I often go run my errands after CrossFit, pushing my first meal of the day to well past noon. It’s terrible, really.

With my Nutribullet Select, I am out of excuses! I have been getting up in the morning and making a delicious Paleo inspired Fruit Smoothie. I can make it in less than a few minutes and it comes out amazingly. Since the Nutribullet Select Pulses, Blends, Crushes and does it all at Variable Speeds , I can pop in large chunks of fruit and it still comes out smooth and creamy!

I simply pop the top on and drink as I work and get the kids ready. It’s portable, delicious and so incredibly easy.

If I really want a cold smoothie I will add in a cup of ice and use the Crush feature on the Nutribullet Select to blend it in well.

Now that I have my morning fuel in me, I need something to help amplify the energy and great feeling I have after finishing CrossFit. A Paleo inspired Berry Spinach Smoothie does the trick. What I like about this ‘green’ smoothie is that it is not green. There is something about drinking green drinks that makes it hard for me. It is a deep purple color that is so appetizing but still has those green qualities I need! Once I quickly rinse out my Nutribullet Select from my morning smoothie, I mix it up, pop the drinking lid on it and take it to CrossFit in my car. Easy peasy!

1 cup fresh spinach, washed

1 cup frozen mixed berries

1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt

1 cup water

Crushed ice to make it colder

Add all of the ingredients to the Nutribullet Select. Start on the Crush setting for about 15 seconds, then move to the blend setting for about 30 seconds. Pop the top on and off you go!

Using fruit with your green smoothie recipe makes it easier to drink

I have to say, this has been a life saver for me! I can get everything I need for multiple smoothies at Walmart on one of my MANY trips a week, and I can get breakfast and lunch and snacks and more instantly from my Nutribullet Select!

I am having so much fun trying out different recipes on the Nutribullet Select. Salsa’s that I can make on the Pulse setting, sauces that can smother pork chops, salad dressings that need to be blended to perfection… there is no end!

The Nutribullet Select exclusively at Walmart makes your green smoothie recipe easy

You and I both know that we go to Walmart so often that we know the greeter and several cashiers by name. One of the cashiers at my Walmart was even my secret santa recipient two years ago. I adore her! So since you are there anyway, pick up the exclusive Nutribullet Select and blend your excuses away with this versatile tool! I love mine and know you will too!
