As a blogger I am starting to hear more and more about stop motion. Basically, you take a character or items, take a million photos of it and then put it in ‘motion’ by creating a movable movie. I am starting to experiment with it but now I think I can pass the task off to my kids! Disney’s Imagicademy Storymation Studio Stop Motion Movie Kit is here and it is super fun and entertaining!
So here is what is really cool about this. Aside from kids being able to recreate their favorite movies like Frozen, Monsters, Inc. and Peter Pan, they can download the Storymation Studio app on iTunes and make a movie of their characters that come to life! So kids can place their characters on the plastic disk and then move them with the clear, plastic wand to make the movie!
Now, I don’t have an iPad (you can also use an iPhone and iPod) but if you don’t tell the kids, I will tell you that we are getting one for Christmas (shhhh). If you already have one, download the Storymation Studio app and watch as your kids become movie makers!

Now, my kids, even without the app are going to LOVE this. With the characters they love from different movies like The Little Mermaid, Big Hero 6 and Toy Story, they can create with modeling clay and make their movies in their imagination. So if you don’t have an iPad, trust me, this will still be a total blast for your kids! So don’t let that deter you!
Kids can add music, animation and more to their movie as they create and re-create with their favorite Disney friends! Pick up your set at Target.com and watch their story telling imagination come to life!
