You know we love our DVD’s in this house and anytime one of our favorite characters comes in the mail, we get very excited!  We gather our popcorn, curl up on our princess couches and have a good ole’ movie night!

Even my 5 year loves Chuggington the Train.  And we still watch the last DVD that I reviewed.  So when Chuggington: Brewster’s Little Helper arrived, I knew I was going to have to plan movie night and fast!

Brewster’s Little Helper follows Brewster, a young trainee {get it?} as she discovers the importance of patience and completing daily tasks as well as the value of good friendships.  In the title episode, Zephie thinks she can do more than she really can.  As she tried to complete Brewster’s tasks without any help she just gets into trouble.  When she discovers that she can not do everything alone, she realizes that she has some growing up to do and that working together is better for everyone.

Brewster learns the importance of asking for help in Koko Takes Charge as they clean up a recycling yard, learns how to read signs with Wilson and even gets to meet his hero, Action Chugger!  And watch as the trains learn responsibility and to trust one another. With six episodes on this 61 minute DVD, your little Chuggington fan will find something to love!

But what I, as a mom, really love about this DVD, is that my 2, my 4 and my 5 year old can all get something out of it.  Aimed at the preschool crowd but able to be valuable to any child, the colorful characters and important lessons are more than just campy tales.  My girls get excited and start to recite the lines and explain to each other what is important in each episode.

Since I am not big on ‘real TV’ and rely on DVD’s for my children’s “TV time”, I love that I can add another Chuggington favorite to the collection!  This is an instant hit with my kids.  And with the bonus coloring pages and activity sheets, it also encourages creativity when the TV is off!
