I love a good breakfast. But on my health kick it is steel cut oats and eggs almost every morning. Sometimes, I want to give my kids a treat. Or, if I have a girlfriend over for breakfast, I want her to have something special as well! I love to make my Chocolate Cream Cheese Stuffed Pastry Recipe when someone is coming over and it is always a huge hit!
It could not be more simple. The hardest part is the icing on top but if you get a quality piping bag, you will breeze through it!
- 1 can Croissant Rolls
- ½ of Cream Cheese Square
- Chocolate Morsels
- White Chocolate Morsels
- Melt the cream cheese enough to mix. Add in the white chocolate and chocolate morsels. Roll out the Croissant dough. Add about a teaspoon or so of the mixture to the top part of the croissant dough. Roll up and bake 8 - 11 minutes in a 375 oven. melt more chocolate and white chocolate morsels. Add to piping bag and decorate with each color.
I have so much fun with the recipe. Croissant dough is so versatile. Add strawberry or cherry fruit jam to the middle for a fruit pastry. Or add chocolate chunks for a more crunchy texture. I have also been wanting to add sugared nuts to see how those come out. Especially if I mix them with cream cheese!
Serve them plain or with fruit and sit back while family and guests rave at the taste. They will think you slaved over it but it will have only taken you a little while. But be careful.. once they eat one they will want more! So make extra just in case!

Hi, I am not sure if you will see my comment, but I was really liking the look of these pastries. They would be perfect for our Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen time. However, I was wondering if you could share the amounts of the ingredients. I am not sure what size cream cheese you are referring to, and also wondering how many chocolate chips and white morsels need to be added.
Thank you.
