Please join A Day in Motherhood and Brady Rymer in celebrating Autism Awareness Month!!!
I’d like you to take a moment to meet someone. This is my son Joe. He is 6 years old (almost 7!). He is obsessed with trains, planes, ambulances, fire trucks, construction vehicles, and his Pap’s tractor. He loves Scooby Doo and singing-a-long to Train on the radio. He is on the Autism Spectrum. He was diagnosed with High-Functioning Autism, aka Asperger’s about 3 years ago.
So when I was giving the opportunity to review Brady Rymer‘s Love Me for Who I Am CD, I jumped at it! After all, 2 kids in the house who love singing (my daughter Lorelai loves to sing and dance)- I can’t go wrong on this one!
Now you’re probably sitting there thinking “what on earth is she talking about?”.
Now…THIS is what I’m talking about! Brady Rymer’s Parent’s Choice Gold award-winning album!
All the songs on Love Me for Who I Am are all songs that children with Autism and EVERYONE ELSE can relate to! The songs are very up beat and easy to remember the words (the book inside with all the lyrics helps too!). I’m listening to it AGAIN and the kids aren’t even anywhere around me!
Take a moment to visit Brady Rymer’s webpage for more information on him, how he made this album, some sound clips and news on upcoming performances!
By the way….in case you were wondering, my favorite song is Picky Eater. “I’m just a pick, pick, pick, picky little eater, I’m just a pick, pick, pick, picky little eater, I’m just a pick, pick, pick, picky little eater, it’s true….” Squish Me, Squeeze Me is a close second! “Squish me, squeeze me make me, feel great. Squish me, squeeze me, make me feel safe….”
